El premio al Mejor Álbum Infantil es un reconocimiento especial que se entrega a los artistas que crean música y grabaciones de alta calidad pensadas para niños. Este premio forma parte de los famosos Premio Grammy, que se otorgan cada año a lo mejor de la música. Se ha entregado desde 1959, aunque su nombre ha cambiado varias veces a lo largo de los años.
En 2012, la Academia de la Grabación, que organiza los Premios Grammy, decidió simplificar la lista de categorías. Querían que el premio al Mejor Álbum Infantil volviera a ser una sola categoría para todos los tipos de grabaciones para niños, como era antes de 1994. Esto ayudó a que el proceso de premiación fuera más claro y directo.
