Kim Victoria Cattrall (Liverpool, Inglaterra, 21 de agosto de 1956) es una actriz británicocanadiense, conocida por su papel de la cadete Karen Thompson en la película Police Academy (1984), de Ema "Emmy" Hasure en la película Mannequin (1987), y como Samantha Jones en la serie de televisión Sex and the City.

Trayectoria
Se crio en la isla canadiense de Vancouver. A los 11 años ella y su familia volvieron a Inglaterra y fue allí, donde empezó a interesarse por ser actriz. A los 16 años Kim Cattrall se trasladó a la ciudad estadounidense de Nueva York, donde acudió a la American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Al graduarse, el director Otto Preminger la contrató por cinco años para trabajar en cine.
Un año después Universal Studios compró su contrato y Cattrall se convirtió en una de las participantes del Universal Contract Player System. También apareció como invitada estelar en numerosas series de televisión, lo cual la llevó a desarrollar papeles protagonistas junto con el actor Jack Lemmon.
Fue nominada al premio Genie como actriz principal por su interpretación en Ticket to Heaven.
Cattrall ha protagonizado un gran número de películas de éxito hollywoodenses, entre las que figuran: Police Academy, Porkys, Mannequin, Masquerade, Star Trek VI: aquel país desconocido y Big Trouble in Little China. Su actuación como Jamie en la película independiente Live Nude Girls hizo que fuera aclamada por la crítica en numerosos festivales de cine.
Kim Cattrall interpretó durante seis años el papel de Samantha en Sex and the City. Asimismo participó en el filme de Disney Ice Princess dirigido por Tim Fywell, y en 2008 regresó a la pantalla grande con Sex and the City: The Movie.
En 1975 se casó con Larry Davis. Después de divorciarse contrajo segundas nupcias con el arquitecto alemán Andre J. Lyson, con quien permaneció casada desde 1982 hasta 1989. Su último marido es Mark Levinson, con quien se casó en 1998.
