Description: Portrait of Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra commonly said to be that which, according to the prologue to Cervantes' "Exemplary Novels", was painted by Juan de Jáuregui. Modern scholarship does not accept this, or any other graphic representation of Cervantes, to be authentic.
