Kim So-hyun (en hangul, 김소현) es una actriz, modelo y presentadora surcoreana. Nació el 4 de junio de 1999 en Australia. Es muy conocida por sus papeles en series de televisión como Who Are You: School 2015, Page Turner, Love Alarm y River Where the Moon Rises.
Los medios de comunicación en Corea del Sur la han llamado la «Hermana pequeña de la nación». También la conocen como la «reina de las actrices infantiles». Esto se debe a que ha trabajado como actriz desde que era muy pequeña. Kim So-hyun es una de las estrellas más importantes de la Ola coreana, un fenómeno cultural que ha llevado la cultura de Corea del Sur a todo el mundo.

Vida y educación de Kim So-hyun
Kim So-hyun nació en Australia el 4 de junio de 1999. Tiene un hermano menor. Cuando tenía cuatro años, en 2003, su familia se mudó a Corea del Sur.
¿Por qué Kim So-hyun estudió en casa?
Kim So-hyun asistió a la Escuela Primaria Hoe-ryong y luego a la Escuela Primaria Towol. Se graduó de la primaria en febrero de 2012. En 2016, Kim decidió estudiar en casa en lugar de ir a la escuela secundaria.
Ella explicó que, al ser actriz, le costaba mucho encontrar tiempo para estudiar. A veces, tenía que hacer exámenes sin estar preparada. Además, se perdía muchas actividades con sus compañeros de clase. Al estudiar en casa, Kim pudo dedicar más tiempo tanto a sus estudios como a sus grabaciones.
Trayectoria profesional de Kim So-hyun
Kim So-hyun comenzó su carrera como actriz infantil en 2006. Su primer papel fue en un programa especial de televisión llamado Drama City en el episodio «Ten Minute Minor».
Primeros años como actriz infantil
Después de su debut, Kim So-hyun apareció en varias series de televisión. Algunas de ellas fueron A Happy Woman (2007), Que Sera Sera (2007) y Hometown of Legends (2008). También participó en My Name Is Pity (2008), Wife and Woman (2009) y Ja Myung Go (2009).
En 2010, Kim So-hyun hizo su primera aparición en el cine con la película Man of Vendetta. En esta película, interpretó a Joo Hye-rin, la hija de un pastor que es secuestrada. Fue elegida para este papel después de una competencia. Ese mismo año, actuó en las series Becoming a Billionaire y Pan, amor y sueños.
Kim continuó interpretando versiones jóvenes de los personajes principales en series como The Thorn Birds (2011) y The Duo (2011). También apareció en la película de comedia familiar Spy Papa, que trataba sobre la relación entre padres e hijos.

En marzo de 2012, también participó en Rooftop Prince. Interpretó a la joven Hong Se-na y a la Princesa Hwa-yong. En 2013, apareció en Iris II: New Generation como la joven Ji Soo-yeon.
El 23 de septiembre de 2013, Kim So-hyun se unió a la serie The Suspicious Housekeeper. En esta serie, interpretó a Eun Han-gyul, la hija mayor de una familia.
En mayo de 2014, actuó en Triangle como la joven Hwang Shin-hye. En agosto de ese año, fue parte del elenco principal de Reset. Allí interpretó a Jo Eun-bi, una estudiante que se parece mucho a una mujer asesinada años atrás.
En abril de 2015, Kim So-hyun se unió a la serie Who Are You: School 2015. En esta serie, interpretó a las gemelas Lee Eun-bi y Go Eun-byul. La serie terminó en junio de ese año.

Kim So-hyun ha sido presentadora en varios programas y eventos. Entre 2013 y 2015, fue presentadora de Show! Music Core. También ha presentado los premios KBS Drama Awards y los Mnet Asian Music Awards.
En 2018, fue elegida junto a Yoo Seung-min como representantes nacionales de "Honorary Smile" para los Juegos Olímpicos y Paralímpicos de Invierno de 2018.
Filantropía y reconocimiento
