Funtown Splashtown USA (comúnmente conocido simplemente como "Funtown") es un parque de diversiones de propiedad familiar ubicado en Saco, Maine, en los Estados Unidos .
Contenido
Historia
En 1960, Ken (8 de octubre de 1932 - 8 de enero de 2013) y Violet Cormier abrieron Marvel Drive-In , un autocine. El cuñado de Ken, Andre Dallaire, abrió un campo de minigolf ese año anterior junto a Marvel Drive-In. En 1963, Andre abrió una pista de karts detrás de su campo de minigolf, y en 1964 Ken agregó jaulas de bateo y un campo de tiro con arco en 1967 detrás de Marvel Drive In. En el transcurso de los años siguientes, Cormier y Dallaire agregaron varias atracciones para niños y estilo carnaval, incluidos SkySlides y Swinging Gyms. También se abrió una tienda de regalos .
En 1967, Cormier y Dallaire formaron una sociedad y nació Funtown USA. En los años siguientes, Funtown agregó un Zipper, autos de choque al aire libre y un Bayern Kurve llamado "Luv Machine".
En 1996, Cormier compró el interés restante de Dallaire en el parque y lo renombró como Funtown Splashtown USA con la adición del parque acuático .
Atracciones destacadas
El parque cuenta con la montaña rusa de madera más alta y más larga del norte de Nueva Inglaterra, Excalibur, así como con el canal de troncos más largo y más alto de Nueva Inglaterra, Thunder Falls . También tiene una 220 pies (67,1 m) Torre de caída llamada Descenso del Dragón .

El segmento de Splashtown presenta Pirate's Paradise, un gran parque acuático interactivo que vierte cientos de galones de agua sobre sus visitantes cada pocos minutos.
