Autor(a): Astronaut photograph ISS007-E-17875 was acquired on October 23, 2003, with a Kodak DCS760C Electronic Still Camera fitted with an 800 mm lens, and is provided by the International Space Station program and the JSC Earth Science & Remote Sensing Unit, ARES Division, Exploration Integration Science Directorate. The image in this article has been cropped and enhanced to improve contrast, as well as inscribed with geographical information. The International Space Station Program supports the laboratory to help astronauts take pictures of Earth that will be of the greatest value to scientists and the public, and to make those images freely available on the Internet.
