Descripción: Hand made shirt "Gentleman's white shirt; made by hand in 1849 by Mrs Elizabeth Bedggood nee King" white shirt with embroidered initials "IK" or "JK" detail- fine, white cotton shirt with square-set, drop shoulder, heavily gathered sleeve, finishing with fine pleating at cuff; cuff fastens with single mother-of-pearl button; high standing fold over collar fastens at throat with 2 mother-of -pearl buttons; front fastening with placket finished with buttonhole stitch reinforcing and heart-shaped top-stitched decorative motif with 2 mother-of-pearl buttons; vents at both side seams lower edge; separate front and back panels; back panel heavily gathered at neck line; initials I.K. in fine red cross stitch above vent front right
