Descripción: Serpentine Gallery Pavilion 2009 by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa Each summer the Serpentine Gallery has a pavilion by eminent architects who have not previously designed anything in the U.K. This year the pavilion is by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa of the Japanese practice SANAA. The pavilion has a roof of polished aluminium sheets on slender columns. Looking from inside, one sees the outside view - and its reflection in the ceiling. Reality and reflection merge smoothly. Here the reflection of the gallery appears as a second storey - but going further up we reach the reflections of the cyclists, upside down. The pavilion will be open until 18th October and contains a coffee bar.
