Descripción: This is a front view of the mastaba tombs of Vizier Ptahhotep and his son Akhethetep at Saqqara, Egypt. Ptahhotep served as Vizier under the 5th Dynasty Old Kingdom king Djedkare Isesi. Akhethetep, the son of Ptahhotep, served under Djedkare Isesi and Unas as the Overseer of the treasuries—an important title and important role in Egypt's Old Kingdom. Akhethetep also held the title of overseer of the scribes of the king's documents and overseer of the granaries. This photo was personally taken in 2017 by Aidan McRae Thomson
