Descripción: Pressed Steel Planking (PSP) also known as Marston Mat has been used since the Second World War as a road and airfield surface. It is in abundance in the Falklands, having being repurposed by farmers for animal pens and enclosures. Royal Naval Party 8902 detachment operated a SRN6 hovercraft between 1967-1972 from a hangar on this location. The Pressed Steel Planking (PSP) was laid to provide a smooth slipway to the water. They were billeted in Moody Brook barracks.
