Descripción: 1/19/1937- Lenin's "successor" removed from post - Nikolai Bukharin, once known as Lenin's heir-apparent and a long-time political for of Joe Stalin, Soviet dictator, has been removed from his post as editor of the government organ "Izvestia," it was reported reliably today. Bukharin was understood to be under arrest, although no announcement was made to confrim that report. Bukharin was removed from his post, several months ago, apparently suspect with 16 men who were executed for conspiracy. He was returned to the editorship last October.
