Descripción: Lanercost Priory, founded in 1165 as an Augustine House, in the village of Lanercost, Cumbria from the south-east. The square of grass in the foreground is the remnants of the cloister. The portion to the left (west) of the central tower is the Church of St Mary Magdalene which is in use as the parish church. The tower and the portion to the right (east) of the tower is a ruin.
