Descripción: Jean-François Raffaëlli** was a French** realist painter, sculptor, and printmaker who exhibited with the Impressionists**. He was also active as an actor and writer. Born in Paris, France April 20, 1850 and died in Paris, France February 11, 1924. Raffaelli trained in the atelier of Jean-Leon Gerome, and made his debut at the Salon of 1870. He painted portraits, landscapes and genre scenes, deriving much of his inspiration from the Parisian suburbs.
