Description: The Game Boy Light, a gaming handheld released by Nintendo in 1998. It is a redesign of the original Game Boy hardware, released nine years earlier. It shares many design aesthetics of the Game Boy Pocket from 1996, but adds a backlight and goes from using 2 AAA to 2 AA batteries. This model was only released in Japan and was quickly replaced by the Game Boy Color, which was released later that year.
