In 1982, the painting was owned by Peter Rheinberger, Vaduz, Liechtenstein.[2] Photographic reproduction published in 1976.[3] Another colour reproduction was published in 1981.[4] For more on the publication history of various versions see Bertschinger, Los Gatos 1988[5] ↑ https://www-degruyter-com.wikipedialibrary.idm.oclc.org/document/doi/10.1515/9783110925715/html ↑ Hoare, Michael Edward (1982) The Resolution journal of Johann Reinhold Forster, 1772-1775, Hakluyt Society ISBN: 978-0-904180-10-7. ↑ Hoare, Michael Edward (1976) The Tactless Philosopher: Johann Reinhold Forster (1729-98), Hawthorne Press, pp. opposite 38 ↑ https://archive.org/details/voyagestoparadis00nati/page/105/mode/2up?q=rigaudhttps://web.archive.org/web/20050206031445/http://rainstone.com/Portraits-Forster.2.htm
