Descripción: US Post Office in Charlotte Amalie, Emancipation Gardens (center of town), St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, completed c. 1940. Christmas Eve concert given in front of building by the Rising Stars Steel Band. Building part of the Charlotte Amalie Historic District on the NRHP since July 19, 1976. The historic district is roughly bounded by Nytvaer, Berg and Government Hills, Bjebre Gade and St. Thomas Harbor
