Descripción: Wigmore Hall. A small concert hall used for recitals and chamber music. The frontage on Wigmore Street is very narrow, just the width of the pediment over the canopy. A long thin foyer leads back to the hall behind. It was built in 1901 by the German piano company Bechstein as a showcase, and has excellent acoustics. It became the Wigmore Hall in 1917 and is a leading recital hall. See its website http://www.wigmore-hall.org.uk/about/history.cfm.
