Descripción: The picture shows the scanned plan of an ancient Roman villa in Kemating on the mountain Plainberg, municipality of Bergheim, state of Salzburg, Austria. It was drawn by the archaeologist Oliver Klose (1860-1933) and published in the annual scientific journal Mitteilungen der Gesellschaft für Salzburger Landeskunde, Salzburg 1925 (pull-out paper between pp. 80-81). The villa dates back to the second half of the 3rd century and was owned by a person named L. Vedius Optatus. The foundation walls of the building were discovered in 1907 and have temporarily been excavated only for documentary reasons.
