Archivo: Traditional Altar for the Dead-Mexico
Descripción: A traditional altar for the Dead Festivities. Food such as fruit and bread and beverages such as atole or a baby bottle with milk can be appreciated, along with cempasúchitl (the flower of the dead) and jagged paper (papel picado) ornaments, candles and images of Saints, Virgins and Crucifixes. Photos of beloved ones who have passed away are also put in the altar, beside images of skeletons and of Death itself, but always seen from a humorous point of view. The place is Acayuca, Hidalgo, located within the mountains of the Sierra Madre Oriental, in Mexico.
