Archivo: Seal of Los Angeles County, California (1957–2004)
Descripción: The seal of Los Angeles County, California, used from 1957 to 2004. It was adopted on January 2, 1957 and put into use from March 1, 1957. It was replaced on September 14, 2004, after a legal objection to the cross above the Hollywood Bowl. Its replacement resembled this seal, changing the central figure from Pomona (Roman goddess of fruit trees) to a Native American woman, removing the cross above the Hollywood Bowl and the oil derricks. The Mission San Gabriel Arcángel was added, with the Hollywood Bowl and stars being shifted to the location of the removed oil derricks.
