Permission: The item was created as a response to those who participated in an offer made by Pure Oil Company on Lyons' show. It was intended for distribution to let responders know why the gloves in the promotional offer would take some time to arrive. One of Lyons' "trademarks" on her television show was that she always wore white gloves. They were also used by those in the studio audience for waving to viewers at home while "The Waving Song" was played. There are no copyright marks on the full item, as can be seen at the link above. A long-time Cincinnati broadcaster, Lyons began working at WLW in 1942, retiring in 1967-one year after the death of her daughter. This item fits the pre-1978 critera for no copyright markings.
