Composition: A morning on a cloudless autumn day was chosen for the composition. In the morning the sun shines from the back left, illuminating the facade of the town hall. Due to the clear sky, colors come into play more. In the afternoon, the sun "wanders" past behind the town hall, so that one would then have to struggle with backlighting. On a cloudy day, the composition looks a bit more dreary. At the time of photography, no person was present in the photo on site. So the focus is completely on the building, not on theoretical hustle and bustle in front of or next to the building. Position of the photograph: a position was chosen that on the one hand shows relatively much of the building, on the other hand the photo benefits from the illumination by the sun. Regardless of the position of the photographer, you always have objects in front of the building, here it is (from right to left): tree, fountain, information board, lamp, advertising pillar, bench, traffic sign of the crosswalk with holder. This is simply part of the composition. Time of the year: Autumn colors can be an artistic element without alienating or stylizing the view you have on the spot. In the fall, every now and then one encounters clear blue skies without clouds. This is visible in the photo. Significance: the town hall is a center of a city of high importance and usually one of the most important secular buildings, even in the administrative field. Here it is added that the building has ornamentation known from the Gothic period. These include the chalice buds on the top of window frames. Initials are found on the oriels. On the east facade one can see an ornamented coat of arms of the city of Hof, with an angel, a lion and two towers. A blazon gives more information. Simple picture description: The photo shows the Hof Town Hall, seen from a viewpoint on Ludwig Street. The sky is the color of a blue color gradient service, getting darker towards the top. The center of the image is dominated by the town hall building, with the tower visible to the right of center. On the far right a part of Klosterstraße can be seen, on the left a crosswalk.
