Description: 1953 variant of the well-known Charles Atlas body building ad. In this version, "Joe" is first taunted then physically abused by a muscular bully. Sexual stereotyping is prominent within the narrative; the weaker male is held up for public humiliation and ridicule. After violently defeating his rival, Joe finds himself literally surrounded by attractive young women. What a man! PNG version of this file.
