Descripción: Communication limber salvaged from one of the many tunnels used after the war to dispose of unwanted materials and is now on display in the museum. The German Occupation Museum' on Guernsey, in the Channel Islands, showcases the period of Nazi occupation during World War II. Founded by Richard Heaume in 1966, it began as his personal collection of wartime artifacts and has since expanded into a comprehensive museum. The exhibits include rare original items, a recreated wartime street, and a prison section highlighting deportations, including the tragic story of a Jewish woman sent to Auschwitz. The Channel Islands were occupied by Nazi Germany from 30 June 1940 to 9 May 1945, making them the only British territory in Europe under German control during the war.
