Descripción: On January 3, 1833, Captain Onslow took control of the Falkland Islands on behalf of the British Empire, through a military operation using the warships H.M.S Clío and H.M.S Tyne to dislodge the Argentine garrison from Puerto Soledad. On January 24, 1833, the governor of Buenos Aires, Ramón Balcarce, sent a note to the province of Santa Fe informing the events that occurred in Malvinas. On February 18, 1833, Pedro Pablo Vidal, Santa Fe's business agent in Buenos Aires, Pedro Pablo Vidal, sent another note for the same reason. On February 25, 1833, Santa Fe answered both letters, with the signatures of Governor Estanislao López and his finance minister Domingo Cullen.
