Descripción: Leach's Storm Petrel Oceanodroma leucorhoa escaping from attack by Merlin Falco columbarius, Cayuga Lake, New York. The petrel flew in from behind us at 11:48 AM, over the docks, presumably from inland. Flew right by us at the lighthouse, at most 3 m away. Started pattering on the water in front of us and was quickly attacked by a Merlin that made several passes at it. Eventually, the Merlin left and the petrel started moving south over the water.
