Description: Historical collections of the Chernobyl accident from the Ukrainian Society for Friendship and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries (USFCRFC). April 26, 1986, signified the boundary between life and death. A new reckoning of time began. This photo was taken from a helicopter on the day following the explosion.
