Descripción: Getting a clear evening in Kampar with blue skies without haze is likened to striking it in the lottery. Recently, the dry spell over Peninsular Malaysia would give anyone reason to expect only hazy days. However today, the view was stunning at sunset as the entire landscape turned into a warm orange-golden glow at 15 minutes to sunset. The town's backdrop mountain - Bujang Melaka - when from its usual green colour to an attention-grabbing golden glow. I had to make it a point to head up to the town's tallest hotel, the Grand Kampar, to soak in the view - lasting for barely 10 minutes.
