Description: Aftermath of the California 2007 wildfires: Witch Creek Fire, San Diego County. Smoke remains in the air long after the fires have been extinguished. The visible effect at twilight is unusually brilliant tones in the fading sky, but the stench is overpowering. This is a retouched picture, which means that it has been digitally altered from its original version. Modifications: Denoising by Lycaon.
