Archivo: Chicken Rivel Soup

Descripción: A terrific cold weather meal. Simple to make and easy to individualize. Essentially you boil down a whole chicken till the meat tears easily away from the bones. Using the now prepared stock and freshly made chicken meat, throw in veggies of your choosing (potato's, carrots, celery, and onions [or Leeks] work great). Spices can very to personal taste. Salt, fresh ground pepper, basil, and fresh garlic create a good seasoning base. Once the stew is near completion you make a simple noodle dough (Rivels) by mixing egg and flour till it's a thick sticky batter. Dropping little bits of the dough will create this thick yet fluffy and tasty simple noodles. Once the dough has solidified add buttered crackers and enjoy.
