Descripción: Chapultepec Hill, Mexico City: Vestiges of the rock sculpture of Moctezuma II. A full-body front-facing Moctezuma II holds a chicahuaztli staff in his right hand in high relief, with armament and feathered teoatl-tlachinolli (war symbol) on his left (viewer's right). Six glyphs surround the portrait in low relief: (counter-clockwise from bottom left) 1 Crocodile, Headdress (Name) Glyph, 2 Reed, 1 Reed, 1 Jaguar(?), 1 Flint(?). Originally five portraits of Mexica rulers from Moctezuma I (r. 1440-1468) to his great-grandson Moctezuma II (r. 1502-1520) existed at Chapultepec Hill, but post-conquest defacement and neglect leaves only the final one still visible.
