Descripción: Arthur's Stone (1) This is a very impressive Neolithic burial chamber which has never been excavated although well studied since first described in the early C18, by local antiquarian Arthur Watkins among others. It stands beside a lane just below the summit of Dorstone Hill, commanding fine views (in clear weather) towards the Black Mountains. The structure comprises 9 upright stones, a right-angled passage and a massive capstone. This is the view looking north. Slightly to the south is a large sandstone upright and a recumbent stone, both of which, it has been suggested, were associated with the tomb.
