Info provided by the museum shown below: Stone Tomb Gate and Couch Northern Zhou Period (557-581) Excavated from An Jia's tomb, the northern suburbs of Xi'an City Collections of Shaanxi Provincial Institute of Archaeology The stone gate consists of four parts: lintel, frame, threshold, and two lions on both sides of the door. The horizontal tablet is carved with sacrificial scene of Zoroastrianism. This stone couch is composed of 11 pieces of stone-blocks bearing 56 pictures, depicting the worldly scenes of out-going, feast, hunting, and entertainment of the owner, Anjia. He was from a Sogdian noble family, and held the title of Sar-pav of Tongzhou prefecture of Northern Zhou dynasty in charge of commercial affairs of foreign merchants from Middle Asia who made businesses in China and Zoroastrianism affairs. He lived in Chang'an and buried there. The images were non-Chinese. This chamber is gorgeously engraved with various decorative motifs and applied with gold, indicating its significant historical and artistic value.
