Descripción: A U.S. Navy Douglas A3D-2 Skywarrior from Heavy Attack Squadron 1 (VAH-1) "Smokin' Tigers" is launched from the aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVA-62). A Douglas A4D-2 Skyhawk from Attack Squadron 86 (VA-86) "Sidewinders" is waiting to be launched in the foreground. Both squadrons were assigned to Carrier Air Group 7 (CVG-7) aboard the Independence for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 4 August 1960 to 3 March 1961.
