Descripción: Chancellor of Justice Ülle Madise is an advocate for clear language and has been the patron of the Clear Message Competition since 2017: “For a long time, convoluted and pretentious language was considered a sign of expertise; such a style of expression was even taught at universities. An official text must not be a heap of bureaucratic jargon burying a stifled idea; the era of guild-like secret languages ​​and looking down on outsiders is over. Everything can be expressed clearly, precisely, and well in Estonian. Let us value clarity, which is a sign of respect and care.”
